A.) Celebrating a Jose Reyes run scored in a 13-9 loss to the Orioles yesterday?
B.) Dropping panties on Canadian television with some wild Asian dance moves?
C.) Letting everyone know he’s not to be trifled with by demonstrating some wacky, Far Eastern form of martial arts?
D.) All the above.
So to be honest with you, I’m still not entirely sure where this is from or what exactly is going on here, but I do know that I love it. An artist would only describe Nori Kawasaki as true poetry in motion. Like a classically trained ballerina on Broadway. Between the wild celebrations and the goofy swings and scaling the outfield wall to make crazy Spiderman catches, it’s pretty hard to not love the Asian ball players.
PS- This might show how out of touch I am with Toronto Blue Jays baseball, but has anyone ever made the Nori Kawasaki/Tanaka from Major League II comparison? I’m still not entirely convinced that those two aren’t really the same exact guy.
