Ken Griffey Junior Made a Cameo In Macklemore’s New Music Video (Maybe a Few Lbs Heavier)

Admittedly I’ve never really been a big Macklemore guy. Not because I think he’s a soft, wannabe hipster, bubble gum rapper, I just don’t really fuck with his music. I’ve made it abundantly clear on this site that I don’t really care who you are or what you talk about, just make it sound good, and Macklemore just isn’t doing it for me. Sorry, fans. One thing I do dig about Macklemore though is his loyalty to Seattle sports. Dude is clearly a die hard Hawks and Mariners fan which I totally get because if in some parrallel universe where I actually possess some musical talent and end up hacking it as a whiteboy rapper, I’d totally rep my squads every chance I got. I believe in the streets they call that, “real recognize real.”

Love the Junior cameo, but I’m still not sure that tops the Ochocinco bit in DJ Drama’s “Oh My,” or Buck’s affinity for Bengals gear in the “P.I.M.P.” and “I Know You Don’t Love Me” videos.

Note: I’m not even gonna get into the Cincinnati Reds references because I’m pretty sure there’s at least one Redlegs hat in every single rap video that’s ever been produced. SOO WOO.

About Q-Ball

Owner, operator AKA The Commish. Q-Ball is that asshole at the office who refuses to brew a fresh pot of coffee. Not because he doesn't want to, he's just too embarrassed to admit that he doesn't know how.
